Budget Billing

Are Your Winter Electric Bills a Challenge? Try leveling them out with Budget Billing. Every June, Eastern Maine Electric Co-op invites its members to join a program for easing winter electric bills. Through Budget Billing, you can arrange to pay the same amount every month, summer and winter. When you sign up for Budget Billing, your payment is calculated based on the previous year's energy use. For eleven months, you will be billed the same amount. The June bill is a "catch-up bill," which completes the billing for the twelve-month period.

Requirements

Members must have lived at the same location for the previous twelve-month period. Accounts must be current before budget billing can begin. Letters with each member's budget amount will be mailed to all members in June. Simply sign and return the letter when you receive it.
